GOLD RVSH are the duo of Icelandic native Sveinn Marteinn Jónsson & Londoner Reggie Green. Growing up in Reykjavik, Sveinn spent intense long winters immersing himself in making electronic music from the age of 13 and was inspired by artists such as Aphex Twin, Squarepusher & Boards of Canada. He also taught himself to play multiple instruments and quickly started playing live music performing with bands all over Scandinavia and Europe.
Reggie comes from Islington, London and has grown up around the groundbreaking 90s rave scene. He quickly started Dj-ing at warehouse parties and since been captivated by the UK underground sound. Reg is also a part of the Kemp family, famous for the brothers that form the legendary band Spandau Ballet.
The two met in a recording studio via a mutual friend and from that moment they joined forces, started building up their own studio and working as writers, producers and engineers for a plethora of artists.
Having penned numerous songs for European dance heavyweight labels Spinnin Records & Armada, they felt the time was right for them to start their own artist project and GOLD RVSH was born. Their remix of Discples’ ‘Jealousy’ released end of 2017 has already reached 5 million streams on Spotify, exceeding any other Disciples remix. Their current work in progress combines all their influences into a sound that’s core is strong pop melodies, contemporary electronic production and big songs – 2018 is set to be the year of the GOLD RVSH.
